Identrus appoints Mack Hicks CTO; adds Traynor and Jensen to sales team 

 
 
Identrus has appointed Bank of America's Mack Hicks as its new chief technology officer (CTO).Hicks was previously senior vice president of corporate information security at Bank of America, where he focused on emerging technologies and standards for information security.


He was responsible for information security, risk management, policies and procedures for the bank's smart card-based digital certificate and authentication business. He also served as an internal specialist addressing Web threats such as e-mail phishing and Web site spoofing.


Hicks also worked closely with Identrus as the Bank of America representative involved in creating the common identity management platform for global banks. Identrus says he made significant contributions to the company, co-authoring multiple Identrus business patents in authentication.


In his new role Hicks will be responsible for expanding Identrus' capabilities, including the policy, legal, operational and technical components of the Identrus system.


The vendor has also appointed ABN Amro's John Traynor as executive vice president of sales and business development, and Curtis Jensen as vice president of government sales.


Traynor was previously group senior vice president and managing director of treasury management services at ABN Amro. Prior to this he spent 15 years at CitiBank, serving in a variety of roles in corporate global cash management and financial institution services.


Jensen joins Identrus from Marriot International, where he was the director of government sales and strategy.


Identrus says together, Traynor and Jensen will play key roles in new customer acquisition and the extension of current relationships within the financial services, corporate and government sectors.
